About Us

Luton Exiles Cricket Club was formed in the summer of 1992, and the original intentions of the club were to arrange friendly fixtures against local teams to be played at weekends.

The rules for eligibility to join the club at the time were: You had to be over forty years of age and of any ethnic/cultural background. However after only a few games the over “Forty age” rule was scraped and it was open to all ages.

Within months of the formation of the club it was decided to apply to join the Luton and District Midweek League the following year. So it was in 1993 that the club joined the league. At the time most of the home games were played on “Pitches” in Stopsley. The club started in division 4 and over the year’s progressed and moved to division 2.The progression of the club led to enlisting of younger members.

In 1994/6 we were approached by crawley green sports & social club and exiles cricket are since based from there. [Home ground shared by luton Nomads]. The premises and ground is situated off Crawley Green Road, Stopsley, Luton.
